December 4, 2025, Saitama, Japan – Tamron Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Saitama City), a leading manufacturer of optics for diverse applications, announces a new firmware update scheduled on December 4, 2025, for 150-500mm F\/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD (Model A057) for Sony E-mount.<\/p>\n\n

With this new firmware update, AF performance during zooming will be improved when shooting videos and still images (in AF-C mode). Additionally, with \u03b19 III, when its focus mode is set to AF-S, DMF, or MF, it will support continuous shooting at up to approximately 120 frames per second. AF assist function is also updated.
